Singapore is introducing a S$3,600 Smart Family Bonus in 2025 to support both working parents and child-care. Announced under the aegis of the Smart Nation umbrella, it is primarily to inculcate responsible use of technology, digital learning, and online safety so-called within family settings. How the Bonus of S$3,600 Will Be Paid

The payout of the bonus will be staggered over the year. Ineligible families will receive credits in Singpass-linked accounts or through some school platforms under mutually agreed terms. The credits would be redeemable for purchases of digital learning devices, software subscriptions, cybersecurity, and child safety software. The first payout is expected to go out in July 2025, with the next scheduled for quarterly top-ups.
